The study enrolled 137 Chinese individuals with MCI who were randomly assigned to one of three groups: learning English, learning and playing logic puzzles, or learning about Chinese music. After 3 and after 12 months of training, subjects were cognitively tested. Those studying English performed better on two tests than those who studied Chinese music, and those who did logic puzzles performed better on one test than the music group.
